I wish this thread would go away, but today I registered three (3) times with no luck. At first I thought it was my browser (Safari) now after reading so many users with the same problem,
I'm convinced the programers have more fixing to do. I'm sure the'll be on it, but come to think of it, they have had issues like this in the past. It's time for a rewrite guys..

I want my MTV, .. oops, I meant PCG!

This is all brand-new code as far as I know, which I imagine is why we're having a few growing pains.

They could just make them available free for those who have been through the pain of doing free beta testing of their so called brand new code  I can understand and sympathise with KORG, this could be rocket science for those who do not know how to code

"the warranty period is twelve (12) months from the date on which the FIRST customer purchased the product from New and covers both parts and labour. It is non transferable and only applicable in the country of purchase."

The problem with warranty is with some these illogical and old school policies. What's the warranty has to do with who owns items and from which country it has been purchased from?
Warranty on Korg products is provided by the national distributor; this is a standard business practice for most companies that I've come across, in any field. Global warranties are rare - probably at least in part due to variations in national law. Similarly, most warranties on electronic goods are limited to the original purchaser. As a few examples, the Playstation, Xbox, Canon, Roland, and Yamaha warranties are all similar in these respects:

http://us.playstation.com/support/warranties/ps3/
http://support.xbox.com/en-us/xbox-360/ ... 0-warranty

If the warranty applies only to the original purchaser, it would presumably not be intact for that second user, regardless of registration.

Thank you for confirming both. See now you've got something to differentiate here against Yamaha and Roland in addition to the technology integration and sound quality that's (already) accomplished by Oasys/Kronos 8)

Got the Electro set. Some nice stuff in there!

Interestingly, the songs included with it refuse to play. Everything is loaded up, the Play button just does nothing at all. It works as usual on any other song but those 3.

edit: Hah! Nevermind. Pattern play songs, or whatever that's called.

I'm sorry that you've had difficulties with the site. I'm told that this should be fixed now. Please try again when you have a chance, and let me know if it works properly for you.
Hi Dan!

Not trying to be picky here, just that I thought Korg's websites should reflect its legacy of excellent products.

The Canadian support form is throwing an error message:
http://www.korgcanada.com/eng/support/s ... equest.asp

So I went to the USA one:
It would be nice to get some kind of email confirmation that the support request was received. I did get the "you're about to send.." button but nothing else.

Most companies will confirm by emaill nowadays, and assign you a "ticket number". I have no way of knowing if my request was handled properly, so I might have to pick up the phone too. If everyone does that...not great for the receiving end.

Best regards,
I checked out the korgcanada.com website, which is run by the Canadian distributor Jam Industries (aka Korg Canada). I'm sorry that you encountered a difficulty when you tried to submit the support form. I filled it out, and it seemed to work properly:

"Thank you Dan for filling out the Korg Canada Support Request Form. Our product support specialist will get back to you with the answers you are looking for."

Note that Korg USA is officially only supposed to support users in the USA.

I'd try Korg Canada's site again, and if it's problematic I'd suggest sending email - see the link in my signature, their email address is there.

Best regards,

Dan

Thanks for your kind response Dan.

Perhaps they have fixed the problem. I sent an email early yesterday to point out the problem, with log of the error msg.

It's too bad I can't get support from the US. It's not the first time I have to deal with Jam Industries and it's very difficult to get through them with any kind of support.

I called them yesterday, and I ended up having to leave a message on someone's phone. It felt like calling my neighbour, not Korg. If you see what I mean...

Anyway, I'll give them another couple of days before giving them a hard time.
