sound/record/ open upper screen menu cursor , press delete and choose "delete
all unmapped samples".

You wrote "all my samples assigned to multisamples" , but we ment if you use
the same sample in more than one multisample !
Also remember that imported loop must always be only WAV or AIFF format ! and
if you convert an MP3 to wav ,you must always delete the first beginning of
waveform from meta Mp3 data empty space via a sound editing software !

You made a question and I simply answered ! but for further details ...gempk5 wrote:unmapped samples meaning samples not used or Unrecognized samples .and can i see those samples before delete .I do not want to delete the things that may have been used or will be used later. No damage from this process?)
The minimum element that you use in a sampled instrument or loop is multisample and
never directly a simple sample except in drumkit mode that you can pick a simple sample like
drums , percussion or loop.
Therefore normally deleting un-mapped samples you delete remnants or samples that you
will never use again.
Your primary attention must be at multisamples , drumkits & time sliced sounds that can't be recovered if deleted !

On my PA3X:AntonySharmman wrote:...
And remember that an OPS Update can't resolve issues that we cause ourselves !
* delete ALL sample and ALL user defined instruments: boot time is standard, two minutes
* dowload groove pad from Ekomusic
* load GrovePadMaggio2012.SET
* the loading time from UBS key is eight minutes with
--- 8227 samples
--- 2635 drum samples
--- 222 multisamples
* boot time now is 7:45
* delete ALL sample and ALL user defined instruments and boot time return standard, two minutes
I don't know if this happen to all PA3X users or only to a subset, but certainly I didn't caused this problem...

If anyone has a suggestion to solve this problem without deleting all the samples I will be happy to use it: in the meantime, I use only internal samples: during gig if happen a blackout I cannot have 8 minuts of silence waiting boot.

'Ourselves' that I wrote has a wide meaning and has the extension
of third party including every non korg manufacture.
Frequently I find in my lab troubleshooting with Usb Stick sets in
Pa2X & Pa3X with samples mapping and licence data write issues on Pa HD.
I'm quite sure that your set will have the same results to any Pa3X !
Maybe it's a matter of number of samples if 6000 is exceeded , but
I surely know that the huge Pa3X collection I've created of 512 Mb and
5500 samples including complex time sliced samples , were made under
industrial standards of KMP files , works like a charm to all Pa3X that
is loaded and the start - up time is always 3 min to all of them !
Anyway I've previously mentioned some notices that might lead you
to the suspect issue that cause delaying start up time of Pa3X.
Under my estimation KorgPa developers must focus on the improper sample
format container and prevent from importing it.

I don't know: Ekomusic is very near to Korg Italy. Until 5 month ago my startup time was normal, then I've had a blackout and my boot time became 7 minutes.AntonySharmman wrote: 'Ourselves' that I wrote has a wide meaning and has the extension

...
I've resetted my pa3x and I've bring it to an authorized service. They deleted all samples and said "is ok": then I've reloaded my last backup but boot time was again too long.
I haven't any other PA3X with which do some experiments, so I don't know if this common problem and I'm wrong remebering initial boot time.
But Korg Italy wrote me that next OS will solve my problem. I suspect that there is some other aspect that we do not know, not only bad sample... But June is coming..

Indeed this is not a regular situation since Pa3X had a regular start up time !redfox wrote:Until 5 month ago my startup time was normal, then I've had a blackout and my boot time became 7 minutes.

This claim of yours reverses the state of our discussion and doesn't appear to be related with OPS !
If I assume your back up was made after "black out" issue , then something is wrong there ,
try to find an older one otherwise ,Reset and
Try to reassemble your set parts , reloading partially elements of sounds and drumkits ,
try to avoid compact loading of your previously saved xxx.All Set and especially try
to avoid loading previous Global file !
Also notify that you never edit Set or Global functions without the existence of a low power UPS.

My load up time is 28 minutes. I use a battery backup for the gigs in case of power failure. I really hope the ne OS will solve this PROBLEM.
@ AntonySharmman : I think that you should stop defend Korg. All of us with start-up delay problem are not novice users and I hope that we all know what we are doing with our keyboards
" Not assigned to any multi sample/drum kit." - that is a "catch" since pa1x ,and all standard users know it. If you don't believe to us,why don't you download grooves form Ecomusic and try and see slow-long start-up by yourself??
Obviously, there are bugs in PA3X OS ,and we are waiting for june to see is there any improvements-or not .
@ redfox : I agree with you. 8 minutes black-out is very dramatic long time when you are on gig. I have experienced this several times, but I cannot play without samples ,so I must suffer and wait for new OS
Temporary solution is to delete user1-2-3-4-DK from SYSTEM disk BEFORE turning off your keyboard and reload it from previously SAVED SET on next Power ON ...but this is silly and I don't want to do this on hi-end korg arranger .

It's obvious that I don't defend anybody since I have no gain on that !
I never said that I don't believe you , that's why I spend my precious
free time to help you in technical details that You all think that You know !
I also don't give a dime for grooves from AnyMusic since I bought a high
class arranger to work my development ,and the criteria is far from previous
option , and of course I'll never demand OPS upgrade from Korg or any
Keyboard factory , because my third party stuff don't work properly !
I feel sorry if all you understood from all my topics are the above comments !
As I always say "Time justifies the wiser" and June is very close to find out !
