HEY GUYS!!!!!

Please note the original thread starter's post count, and the fact that he never reposted after the 1st post in this thread. Let's stop feeding the trolls and end this thread, we all know Korg is amazing :D

In fact he did post again in this thread after his first post :)

And the only real troll isn't among us any longer either. So no big deal.

Cant he just make a new account? Hmm You think deleting a Troll makes any diffference? You can only really remove a person if you put a block oh the subnet. But then you can release and renew IPs. Or change the way they access the net from work or phone. There is just no way to ever get rid of a Troll.. But nice to think were gods of the internet. HAHA

I dont know what all the complaining is about. I just purchased a Kronos X and Im waiting so soon as I get it? I will be posting up some pictures. Maybe even crack it open to see if there is different parts. :P

Good thing there is KORG. If not we would all be playing another sucky keyboard so its great to play the best of the worst.. LOL ;)

I won't comment about any poster on this forum. I am not into that. I am exactly as I posted to be; a long time Korg user who had gone to other boards and was thinking about going back to Korg and prchasing a Kronos. There is no need for insults. I resent being called a troll. Anyone who did so in this case and had any sense of decency would apologize.

I am wondering if the Kronos will still be built along with the Kronos X, or if manufacturing of the original Kronos been discontinued?

It seems incredible to me that a person would pay $4000.00 for a keyboard and be happy; after having to go into it to quiet a noisy fan, send it back
its a funny think but i saw this for many years with the Access virus ti which was sold as non working really in multi mode and then owners were used as beta testers.

A big part of why people buy into a company and its new products is that i think underneath it all they quite like feeling part of the shift forward and some actually like problem solving almost in a sense feeling part of the company ( even if you paying massive amounts of money to be in essence a beta tester )

With the kronos i would expect for the money a much higher build quality but then the working aspects and synthesis is jaw dropping if you into the esoteric side .Its + and - as with most things in life.

I do see what your saying and see where your coming from , these synth companies on the one hand develope amazing new features and then on the other build them into pretty poor quality hardware but then profit is a major factor in any business and we are not in the age of ' morality ' at all .Its about selling plastic keys and parts at premium prices .

Personally i never buy synths new now and buy them normally 30% less retail or more a while after they are released , i hand back , read all the problesm , weigh things up and then buy later as prices fall . That way these manufacturer issues are less an issue as i feel i got better value.

My response to the bad build quality and issues with the Kronos was to buy one 12 months after release from us at about £1000 less than the new uk price ,that way i felt i had a better deal and can allow Korg its lameness.

I dont think any new synth is worth what is sold for in truth unless its an extremely well build boutique synth.

I am not convinced the Kronos is as bad as people make out , yes it has issues that really could have been sorted out first but i think companies have a very thick skin to this now and ' using ' the customer in a sense.

I realised this when i saw how the Oasys users and ' investors ' were Utterly sold down the road , that was very telling but a natural business move from a Business who saw an unviable product in some sense and a potential new '# oasys '

Everyone seems to be ' shafting 'everyone else in this day and age , are we really shocked ? business is moraless or most i have to deal with accept small cottage / personal / boutique companies and one or 2 very rare bigger companies .

I would assume they would discontinue them, although it's such a minor upgrade that they could just send regular Kronoses to the distributors and let them figure out whether or not to put in the SSD and RAM.
Really, they'll be "building" the same board anyway, the question is whether or not they will sell them with the smaller disk and without the RAM for a reduced price after stock is out.
