I find the Kronos to be wonderful, but it took a few weeks of playing before I fell in love with the sound, and maybe it was more due to the fact it took me a few weeks to learn how to perform on it.
I also love my JP80, but that damn thing took me a few months to feel comfortable. While my PC361 has never been satisfying.
I loath my SV-1 as I just can't connect with the keyed, I perfer the non-weight or semi weighted feel of the JP80 and Kronos 61, and I played with the curves too, I really like the light touch, I guess to many year without playing weighted keyed, I can hardly play a real acoustic anymore.
I went and played the Krome the other day and I thought for a minute it better sounding than the Kronos, but soon realized I just liked the display better, because I could read it so well compared to the Kronos, I just felt more comfortable.
So in sum, I think what you like is totally based on your attitude, and your attitude is drive by many factors.
The feel of the keys, buttons, slides, knobs and even the body.
The look of the instrument.
The sound of the instrument.
The feature set, (I think I'd like any instrument that has karma).
and of course the priority of these factors is different for everyone.
