Original or edited styles?
Can anyone tell if these are actually original styles or edits of other styles from other keyboards?

I think there a lot of "newly" edited styles from other keyboards, some edited
Some edited from Korg keyboards
I found a massive number of styles that are "new" to me and I already have a huge collection.
What's more these styles are ready to play - didn't have to tweak any to make them useable.
Cheers
Pete

The person who created/edited these styles has a very good ear for tweaking styles and instruments and for using the right instruments in the STS's.karmathanever wrote: these styles are ready to play - didn't have to tweak any to make them useable.
Some of them I like even better than the factory styles, which I already like a lot!
Must be a very musical person: compliments for the job well done & thanks for sharing it with other musicians!

I know that we are talking about styles, but I like to attract your attention also to the SOUNDS associated to the styles.
Many of those sounds combinations (performance) are different from the onboard ones and some are quite interesting and powerful.
IMHO this is another reason why to spend 18 dollars (less thatn 13 Euro!).
Ciao

....saving up for 2 more PA3X's and a 5-tier keyboard standLastly, I have the styles that came with the Pa600, and the Musikant styles ... where do you guys FIT all these styles???

But seriously, I desperately need to re-organise my styles - OK I ADMIT IT - I WANT A STYLE EDITOR!!!!
You see - I hoard styles on my PA3X - you know what it's like......
....there are styles that I listen to and think "I'll probably not use them but they are really nice and who knows I might just find a use for them one day"

It's like digital photos - you know - that one of the kids which, if it wasn't out of focus would have been great - BUT YOU JUST CAN'T DELETE IT!!!
I need therapy....

I've saved a lot of space by deleting a complete bank of German Waltzes and stuff.
Backed it up to my USB flash drive. I'll probably never use them, but they are available in case of desperate need.

I try to keep User 2 and User 3 bank blank, so that I can always load sets to them, but now I'll probably end up with only a blank User 3 bank.

Pete(Karma); I agree 1000000% this is REALLY annoying. It's also pretty annoying that you're not able to arrange(move) FAV/User styles around in the banks to make it more clear which can be deleted - directly on the keyboard!

Count me in on the group therapy. I solved the problem for myself, at least....not just for styles, but for just about EVERYTHING I can put on a hard drive (mp3's, scanned articles, etc).......by having a lot of storage space. I can't bring myself to throw anything away either. I'll probably never look at a lot of this stuff again, but it's comforting to know that, at least, it's there. It's kind of a "put a band-aid on a deep wound" solution, but.....it works for me!karmathanever wrote:

...still needing therapy - just remembered the other day that my very first HDD was 40MB and I was convinced that I would never fill it - now my current HDD on my Mac is 3TB and I'm filling it because I don't have to think about tidying up or deleting because there is room.I solved the problem for myself, at least....not just for styles, but for just about EVERYTHING I can put on a hard drive (mp3's, scanned articles, etc).......by having a lot of storage space. I find that regular red wine is a great asset.... plenty of it here in Oz
