I think using an iPad as a 'control deck' would be awesome. Two things I've have read on this forum about the Kronos from those who have played one is that the high resolution + small fonts makes it hard to see, and the touch controls are really small.

So, being someone with really bad eyesight and fat fingers, I'm not looking forward to that aspect of it :( It doesn't seem that synth makers pay much (if any) attention when it comes to accessibility. You would think that in 2011, something besides arrangers like the Tyros would have a video out port. Of course, this wouldn't work as well with a touch screen, which is where the iPad comes in :)

I agree with I-pad app. But only after the standard editor works properly. It would be great to lay on the sofa and explore the diffrent synth engines and create patches and combis while the synth is on ther side of the room.

Look at what presonus has done with the Studieo Live 24.4.2 mixer It's the main hub of my studieo.

kronos is so deep and complex you will wan't to spend time to learn it but I to often just play it instead.

My plan is to have kronos connected to my studieo computer and edit with a note-book via remote desktop like I do with the mixer.
