This is what I've been using for each KRONOS, since December.
512GB SATA III SSD.
Kronos starts up a little faster, but I needed more storage, more than anything else. And if OS 1.6 brings in the ability to stream USER Samples off the SSD, instead of RAM and Autoload off the SSD as well, WOW!
That will be the icing on the cake!
Sina
Some one say here that SATA III is incompatible?? How did you install it

Sina,
I picked one up based on your feedback and it has the same symptoms as previously reported in this thread (although for non-Octane drives) with the format hanging when the bar reaches W.
I'm using the exact drive you linked on Newegg.
Can you please explain what you did to get yours formatted and working? You say you've done this on each Kronos since December so it sounds like you've done this multiple times?

Woah, extreme price overkill alert.

Maybe Sina isn't actually using this drive in his 8 Kronii, and he just picked one of the most expensive and capacious SSDs on Newegg to falsly brag about?
In either case, having a 512 GB SSD in each Kronos is a complete waste and overkill, a fool and his money are soon parted.

Sina, could you take a pic of your Kronos screen showing the size of the drive/amount of free space and all that jazz? Some sort of legitimate confirmation would be very useful before anyone else tries going down this route and losing money in the process.

Certainly not me. I'm a programmer with more dollars than cents.
But you're a sucker if you bought that drive.

This is when Sina's stories go from being a matter of amusement to a potential liability. People come on here with no clue about his history here and rely on information that he gives... Some of which may be good..or not...who knows. One thing that is very clear is that he draws no line between reality and his aspirations. I just don't think it is funny at all when someone ends up taking his advice at face value and suffers real consequences.

Sina i a known troll in this community. My belif is that he doesn't own 8 Kronos, nor a single one and they are definitly not full with super expensive HDs. Disregard everything he says is my best advice, but maybe that's something I should have said before you installed the drive :S
