Some people did ask him to change the topic, because it wasn't fair, or it wasn't this and that. Their wish has been granted in a way.

which the serial keys that are giving problems, could be just the first keyboards, less than #1000

my key is #1583 and is 100% functional and he was sent to me in Brazil

In a Brazilian forum Cifra Club we are all concerned, technical assistance is more difficult here

Nor sure about the serials.

I have a very early Kronos 73 (serial 72) since early July, and up to now, since replacing a loud fan and a loose data wheel, all has been working very well, including my keybed.

I have to admit though, after hearing how many felt safe like me, just to run into a Kronos not starting any more on some random day, this state of things, without any appeasing news from Korg, does not make me feel too secure meanwhile.

Waiting for problems is bad, but hopefully the problem persists only in isolated lots of equipment and not all Kronos

Here in Brazil a Kronos 61 cost 10000,00R$ (Reais) the equivalent of about 5500,00U$, prejudice is much larger if my key die

I changed it because some of you guys are so irritating. I didn't come here to subvert the forum. I bought two of these darn keyboards because I was so hyped. But Korg is just letting me down. I have had 7 months of frustrations.

Well, I just put it in the box and shipped it to Korg Japan to take a look at it. The concerning issue is warranty. I ordered it online from the US but I live in Japan. My keyboard is registered with Korg. I even tried registering in with Korg Japan...but it takes you right to the Korg USA site. I just wonder if they will honor my warranty. I know what is typically said. Warranties extend the country you purchased it in. But I am not sending it to a 3rd party authorized repair center. I am sending it back to the same people that built this keyboard. They will look over my keyboard and then give my wife a call before they repair it.

Ow they treat you and the others with this problem will determine if I continue to wait expectantly for a Kronos o move on to aNord or Groove xr. Good luck but I have a gut feeling they will make this right.

I sincerely hope you get the machine fixed/replaced ASAP.

I think the issue re anyone sending back their faulty Kronos is that the repair centres have not received instructions as to the fix.

It's like being caught between a rock and hard place - Can't return a keyboard Korg don't know how to fix, in the meantime, the warranty is running out (for the early adopters particularly).

Must be very frustrating.

Personally, I LOVE the thought of Korg UK/US's reception FILLED up with returned Kronos!

They may not know how to fix it, but at least if the machines are with THEM, they can't ignore it. It's also real proof that the machine has been returned in relation to the warranty - imho, the sooner it's with Korg, the better.

People are more willing to speak out or act in other then acceptable ways on line then in person. A friends son noticed this and calls it the e-penis.
