Interesting. Mine has satin finish black keys and its an earlier model. Never has had the cutoff issue.
Same here. I have the satin finish non-shiny black keys with the shiny white keys and I have tried many times with different velocities on the keybed and I get no cutoff or double strikes. Mine is the Chinese RH3 as well.
Are we seeing a trend here? Satin black key keybeds don't have the cutoff issue? Where glossy black keys do? Hmmm

When I had 3 different K88's with the note cutoff problem, the black keys were shiny on one and satin on the other two. Made no difference as to what kind of black keys were on the keybed.

Don't know about Chinese but out of the 3 bad keybeds I experienced, one had an "RH3 Keybed" sticker on it, the other two "RH3 Keybed from Japan".

Because ALL RH3 keybeds are made in Japan. Even the ones on the Chinese made M50-88.

NO RH3 keybed is made in China.

Thanks. I try and try to duplicate this, but wonder how I was one of the lucky ones and also, if my RH3 will develop the cutoff problem in the future. I would rather know now, than learn about the problem later on in it's life.

I was unable to duplicate any of these issues with mine as well. As of now, I've still never had the issue. If you registered it on Korg.com you have a 2 year warranty so if it were to happen, you'll be covered.

My k88 works perfectly, too.

Maybe mine was made in outer Mongolia .

I can make up things as I go along, right ?

Hello all,

I wanted to clear up any confusion about the OS version 1.5.2 that you're seeing on Kronos with the RH3 modification. The only change in v1.5.2 is in our factory diagnostic program, which is only accessible by our service technicians. It makes a very subtle software adjustment to compensate for the modified keybed. There is absolutely no change in any of the user specifications.

We're already working on much more exciting future OS releases, which will include some useful new features that we think you'll enjoy.

Thanks,
-Rich
