I'm guessing like most updates some documentation was included as to what changed and so forth. That's what I am asking about...what did the documentation to the update say?roblabs wrote:what I mean is, since the very first thing he did was update the firmware, he probably won't know exactly what the update changed.

But initially he said it did fix the gap issue between sound patches, but his first comment was about the envelope release settings on individual Part patches. Later on, he said the FXs were being cut off, then edited his entire post.SMK wrote:This leads me to believe the update is for something else and does not solve the "Gap" issue. I would like to know what that something else is.
The synth envelopes and FX are two entirely different features and settings, and there's a BIG difference between a "gap" (audio silence) and an effect simply being cut short. I even asked a follow up question asking if he tested how two different patterns sound being switched which have the same exact Master FX settings... but still no word yet.

Re-Member wrote:I actually thought of this myself. The answer is the "effect simply being cut short" which gives an illusion of audio silence if you have a lot of stuff going on, but on the next pattern it kinda starts all over. I expect this unit to have more patches and updates, as it hasn´t been released to the rest of the world, yet.SMK wrote: there's a BIG difference between a "gap" (audio silence) and an effect simply being cut short.
I actually found out that the patch (1.03) is ONLY located on the Japanese website from Korg. Nowhere else. If you see the serial number on my unit, it´s 000254. I´ve never owned an electronic unit with such a low serial number before. This means that I really am one of the few first hundreds in the world that have it, or at least managed to get it early.
Sorry for not answering all questions, guys. I will focus on all questions today and try to answer as many as I can. Weekend kinda flew by.
I will also post my first demo of a song today. It´s not "that good", but it gives an idea of the sounds and sound quality. I actually made a better song, but then I accidentally turned the wrong knob (pattern) and had forgot to "write" the song before doing this. Song gone.
EDIT:
I´ve posted the song now.

Just had an idea..
If you have a drum track with reverb on channel1 then the next pattern it's on channel 2 and channel one is blank, does it still cut off the effect?

Reverb isn't available per channel only as a main output bus effect. A major oversight in my opinion.Buska wrote:Just had an idea..

I was thinking that, too, and was pretty annoyed. but then in Kilko's video, I saw you can apply the master effect to individual parts. So technically it is available per channel....TechnoMusic wrote:Reverb isn't available per channel only as a main output bus effect. A major oversight in my opinion.Buska wrote:Just had an idea..
