I truly hope so because the announced sample time for the sampler is nowhere near enough to hold 999 decent length samples. But 512 mb well that would be ideal for me :)

Has anyone gotten an answer from Korg support regarding firmware updates being worked on? All I get from Korg is to go back to the store I got my e2 at. Which is kind of frustrating.

Yes indeed an insert reverb per channel would be something Id love that way I could use the maser fx for something else.

Yes to me that seems most likely. Most "hype" turns out to be somewhat underwhelming when actually finally announced.

I think the answer lies in Ableton Live preferences panel, if you connect the EMX2 via USB and go to midi /sync there's a few new option, I bet it can double up as a native controller

HINT -
Something that will help all Electribe 2 owners, something monumental

1. firmware swapping feature to load the sampler version and vice versa.

2. there is a Software editor for Electribe 2

My money is on a new editor for the Electribe 2.
Head to head guess only? My bet is on a third option: There is nothing new for electribe2 and you have been trolled! :P
Hey d2ba, are reading this? This guy thinks we are both getting trolled somehow!

Oh well. I guess another "USEFUL" feature would be to make that USB mini be powered and power such external controllers like the Nano Pad 2.
I almost forgot about that. Would it possible to make a change like that in firmware?

Yep...it's so fun to dream. One more week!

It better not be sampler version firmware swap because I just sold my emx to find the sampler. That would suck major bollocks

There goes the big announcement for Winter NAMM 2015 : new software revision, woohoo.
SadPaper wrote:I bought an Electribe 2 in Singapore this week and it reports software version 1.05. I downloaded the latest from the Korg website which was 1.03, but didn't overwrite what I had when the Electribe reported the current version as being 1.05.

Firm ware 1.05? Yeah that's not huge monumental news to announce at NAMM.

Yeah d2ba, I think your contact may have over blown something.

It would be nice to get a new update this quickly. It shows that Korg really is paying attention.

Maybe the one thing that would make a firmware upgrade a huge deal is if the E2's usb input is activated to be On The Go (OTG USB) compliant which would make it worth the purchase of a OTG host adapter ($7) and then we could plug into the E2 any usb midi controller we want. Now that would be news...that would be monumental help!

Yeah I know I'm dreaming.

Cough, cough...

Code: Select all

USB 2.0 OTG Port with Integrated PHY (USB0)

USB 2.0 High- and Full-Speed Client
USB 2.0 High-, Full-, and Low-Speed Host
    End Point 0 (Control)
End Points 1, 2, 3, 4 (Control, Bulk, Interrupt or ISOC) RX and TX
TI AM1802 ARM9 CPU

More in this thread. :D

^Ahhh anyone paying attention to what Poumtschak just quoted me on?

It looks like the E2 hard ware is OTG USB compliant!

For SMK it means:

"The final fight
let worlds unite
Peace in my soul
finally told
that USB
will finally
bring to me
my OTG."
