+1

BTW, did you people notice that :
  • the "Menu/Enter" button was labelled "Enter" only on the first press release pictures ?
  • the touchpad switches have been reorganized and relabelled ("Hold" moved from left to right, been relabelled "MFX Hold")

Seems there have been some adjustments on the silk screening before production starts.

Not too uncommon with pre-production units, I believe the Octatrack was the same way if I remember right.

You can change Note Length in the Step Edit mode, just keep pressing the > button until you get to the length screen.

Thanks...

But I don't see the length screen

Step 1/4
Step number

Step 2/4
Note

Step 3/4
Gate

Step 4/4
Velocity

Thats all... could it be my OS? How do I check my OS on my unit?

Thanks again

How disappointing to find it had to be used in factory templates as well :
198 ClassicTemplate KORG Inc. 110.0 or 199 Drum Template KORG Inc. 120.0 (don't have the machine in front of me atm)

The electribe2 sequencer must have a finer resolution than these 16 steps per bar, since it can apply groove templates realtime. Too bad we can make snares or hihats rolls at note level, and use cheats with high BPM or effect.

:?

You can. On page 3 of the Parameter Guide, it shows you how to change the pattern resolution. It's referred to as "BEAT" in the menus:

BEAT: [16, 32, 8Tri, 16Tri]
Specifies the beat (time signature) of the pattern.

TIP: If this is set to 8Tri or 16Tri, trigger pads 13–16 of the Step
Jump function are assigned to steps 1–4 of the next measure

I have an addition to the on going list of Firmware wants and needs.

I went through my first live performance about last week and it was great.
I really love my new E2.

I don't have many needs as far as firmware update. So far for me at least my list is:

1. addition of an effects trail like on KP3 (this should solve click issues)
2. a way to copy parts to any pattern, not just with in the same pattern
3. the option toggle pads in jump step mode from latch to momentary

...and now my latest want based on my performance experience:

4. a shift command to hit shift+record to activate motion sequence

The way I play is I like to keep the REC button on and continuously evolve my synth loops. But if I tweak a knob then it is instantly recorded as a motion sequence I did not intend. I would like the 2 type of recording to be separate or at least a global setting to have the option to have the recording set up like it is now or a shift option for Motion record.

Well, lets continue on the list guys!

Yeah, that motion record thing is even more annoying given that you actually have to hit stop before tweaking any pots, just hitting record again still keeps motion record on on mine.

Question on that:
If I set my beat to a 32 resolution, will I be able to set 32 steps per bar? How is this managed in the step sequencer? Is this usable as pseudo 8 bars?
