>I just wish it would load up faster
Hahaha, I wish there was a fast, quick way to silence stuck notes when your sustain pedal craps out.
In the meantime if you can remember how to do this, you can load this MIDI file I made, load it and play the sequencer/song and it will silence the notes:
http://www.aronnelson.com/kronos/alloff.mid
I mean, there is NO WAY to silence the stuck notes AFAIK except to turn the instrument off and wait for 2 1/2 minutes - which can be quite a while. Fortunately for me I had my Kross on my left.....

Surely just switch sounds to another and back again: the two patch changes will cut off any held notes.

There no limit to the number of posts one person can make to this thread, right
If not, my 5455 request is for a linear time display in the sequencer. Would be most helpful for sequencing works for film and stage (yes, I'm a weirdo and actually prefer doing this on the Kronos than on a computer).

I haven't tried this on a stuck note, but hitting the Compare button stops playback of a long sample like a backing track.

HDMI out with mouse support would be neat - using a 4k 23" monitor with the Kronos would be fab

This has probably been asked before, but it would be great if there were more colors (or even custom colors / RBG?) in the setlist buttons.

Exactly.

Sorry guys, no, the sound stops but all programs are unusable after that.
You are right - cutoff notes are stopped, then you play the keyboard and all the notes that were stuck on STAY STUCK ON.
I am not kidding and I have worked to find a solution, thus the MIDI file.
Do not underestimate this problem when it happens on stage.
I have to point out that this is with the synthesizer set to Yamaha pedal polarity. I have since obtained a Korg pedal.
Please prove me wrong. I would be really happy to be wrong about this.

OK, now it is all explained. This does not happen if you use a Korg polarity pedal. Only Yamaha polarity. Once the notes are stuck, you cannot stop them except with something like my MIDI song or some other method I haven't figured out.

Have you tried assigning the pedal to volume, and use the MIDI Filter check-box for Enable Foot Pedal? That should do it.

Or just pull the pedal plug out of the keyboard. It's not fancy but effective as a sort of last resort.

OK look please guys, I already tried all of this. If you have a Yamaha type pedal, just try it. The sound does not shut off when you pull the pedal.
Believe me when I say I tried all sorts of things. Obviously part of the problem is that Yamaha is normally closed - I just tested with my meter. So OPEN is sustain.
I know the answer is to just use a Korg pedal (Duh!) but one day, you may be playing a rental or need to borrow a pedal and right in the middle of the gig - this may happen to you. Yeah, THEN you will wish you had my midi all notes off sequence! 2 1/2 minutes is a long time to restart!

You do know that you can change the polarity setting in global settings right?! (Remember to then save/write global settings). Also I'd think in a stuck note scenario you could try toggling the polarity setting and operate the pedal in both +/- modes to free up stuck notes?

Will try it, but as I said, I already have a solution, if it happens to someone else, they might not.
I recall trying to do that polarity change - but when it happened more than once, I didn't have time to go seeking out solutions on stage in a concert. I mean at that point, I couldn't even remember how to run my MIDI file, which I need to memorize.
The more I think about it, there might be state problem - because even if the notes get stuck and I press the pedal over and over, the notes still stick and others do not. So your scenario of changing - to + etc probably wouldn't work, but what might work is setting the pedal to + and then pressing the pedal and then pulling the pedal out. I noticed that the Kronos DOES shut off the notes when pulling out the Korg pedal.
Honestly this is a major hack to have to do this and try doing this in the middle of a song in a concert.
I doubt it will happen with the Korg pedal, but I still wish the Kronos had an all notes off function like my PC361 or had a reliable way to shut off notes when they are in this state without having to shut off the keyboard - although my MIDI file does this fine.

Just feels like the action of loading/playing a midi file is one of the more time consuming solutions. Going to global settings is a single button push.
I'm also just trying to get at the root of why you're getting stuck notes in the first place - is it simply that you have the polarity set wrong? I regularly use (and flip between) Korg/Yamaha pedals so I understand that if you forget to change polarity first you'll get stuck notes, but for me this is easily/quickly fixed by changing polarity in global settings.
If you do have the polarity set correctly & are regularly getting stuck note issues I'd suggest you need to buy a new pedal!
