Dear DAN,
again,
I want to play the piano on the right side of the keyboard, and the bass on the left side of the keyboard") and be able to record these 2 timbres into 2 different Midi channel, without the Combi or Karma mode....and these 2 timbres must be on 2 different Midi channel.....
Ok I just followed your explanation...
the second is working perfectly, assigning Pad into different midi channel on sequncer mode and on BTH, no problems I had 8 midi track, on 8 different midi channel...thanks...
The First explanation, I said 2 timbres on 2 differents midi channel, no, I did splitted the keyboard, but, sorry does not work, only if I input 2 tracks or more, on ONE midi channel I would hear both of them, sorry....sorry, I can hear only one timbre.....
for example, the INIT song into the sequencer view, we can see 16 tracks on 16 channels,,that is wonderfull but, tell me how to hear the 16 tracks on 16 midi channels simultaneously ? and, of course, we are on midi PORT, into GLOBAL, the 01
thanks you Dan

As I understood it, you wanted to record a split.mozartella wrote:The First explanation, I said 2 timbres on 2 differents midi channel,
You don't need separate MIDI channels to play, record, or edit a split.
If you follow my directions, you will achieve the result you requested, to the best of my understanding:
* Record a performance on a split sound
* End up with the data on two different tracks (which can then be assigned different MIDI channels, if desired)
Unfortunately, I cannot understand the other parts of your message.
As I requested previously, please do not ask generalized questions, such as this:
Generalized questions can be useful, but in this case, I think that the language difference is being too much of a barrier.mozartella wrote:for example, the INIT song into the sequencer view, we can see 16 tracks on 16 channels,,that is wonderfull but, tell me how to hear the 16 tracks on 16 midi channels simultaneously ? and, of course, we are on midi PORT, into GLOBAL, the 01
In order for me to help you, please provide specific details, such as:
* names of sounds
* specific desired goals

Feature Request After 1.21
After owning the O for 9 months and checking out the fab new LAC-1 I have some new ideas for features:
1. I can predict that we will run out of program slots if any additional EXI's are introduced. I think we will need double the number of banks in the long run. Is this possible? Also, I strongly feel that the EXI's and EXS's factory presets should have their own preset banks and not cut into the user area. It's a shame we have to watch which bank we save user sounds into, especially with banks getting scarcer.
2. I am really hoping for an HD1 EXI to combine sample playback/wavesequencing with the AL-1, CX, STR-1, LAC-1 in a single program (with the ability to copy single elements from the original HD1 programs). Is this possible?
3. Why can't drum samples (ROM that is) be used with the wavesequencing? I was considering converting all 3000 of the drum waves into multisamples for use in the wavesequencing engine until I realized that there is a 1,000 multisample limit and it would take a considerable amount of time to do this. Could these waves be made available as banks of multisamples that could be loaded into the RAM sample area?
4. We have a great bunch of instrument sounds to play with now. I would like to see some focus on drums and percussion. I would like to see a collection of all of Korg's drum machines (analog and vintage ROM based) along with a drum programming sequencer (with grid style editing). Think Electribe EXI!
5. I think we need some kind of sample mangling EXI that could modify sample loops in real time. This would be able to take a sample and time or pitch stretch it, apply a step modifier (to modify pitch, filter, current sample playback loop start point, or whatever).
6. Since Karma Generated Effects may never be editable on the Oasys itself, can we at least have the arpeggiator from the Triton series added? I think the Z1 and Triton had the best ever implementation of an arpeggiator. The only thing I would add is make sure it can handle up to 4 bar patterns and still be able to do 32nd notes.

I'd like to be able to load my favorite VST instruments (NI B4II, Arturia CS80V, Minimoog V, etc.) and play them on OASYS without having to brung my computer on the road
A synthesizer is a terrible thing to waste.

Mr Guru, all my applauzes...
I would like to see, less place taken by the GM2 sounds or timbres and that would give us more space...
I would like to have an USB external hard disk, and able to save extra banks or sounds in it....and able to play it or load it LIVE
Deffinitively would also see the HD-1 sound be implemented with the news choice of Oscillators, available for the EXI...
and, sorry, but always asking for, a Piano rolls for the sequencer...
and more, and more

Yes, you can do this with the current OASYS.mozartella wrote:I would like to have an USB external hard disk, and able to save extra banks or sounds in it....
I don't understand this part, sorry. If you like, please explain it in a different way.mozartella wrote:and able to play it or load it LIVE

Best regards,

sorry but I am going to try another way : I was thinking, if I open the OASYS, and choose a timbre, into bank d, for example, that D bank is into the internal memory of the Oasys....I am more thinking, the day, when we would have more and more banks, could we store ( I konw, we can save bank and ALL into a USB ) but, just imagine, the internal memory could be full, does an USB attachment could become LIVE and, Oasys, instead of looking into it's internal memory, could also look for external bank stored in an USB stick or memory, but, from the either Timbres or Combi panel of the Oasys...
thanks you, and, once more, great job, you did and I love the news sounds, they are more warmer, for my taste...Happy, but, need your help a lot more....Pour Dan ? are you ready

I am gradually learning to read "Olivia" lingo and understand itdanatkorg wrote:I don't understand this part, sorry. If you like, please explain it in a different way.mozartella wrote:and able to play it or load it LIVE

What she is asking for is the ability to read and use Programs/Combis directly from disk without having to load them into bank memory first. Presumably opening the Program browser would should you not only the contents of the banked memory but also the contents of PCG files stored on the hard disk somehow. When you're sitting in Program this would seem ideal, but in Combi and Seq mode not having bank/program references to use to store stuff would be awkward.

My dear DAZ lingo...you are a sweetie, and, YES, that is my question and your answer is nice, but
we do have 4 USB port, yes?
I could see
port A for a memory stick
port B for a kind of help for the internal memory of the Oasys,
port C for a second screen tactil and bigger
port D, that on, maybe we could use for some decent nice old PORTO, because we do need some highball after learning the bigO
But, do not cry DAN, we have some kind of differents frequencies going beetwen us, and, that is charming...
BTW, DAZ, maybe I do not get it, but, the samples what you provided, are, I think not an EXI format, they are more like the HD-1 format..and, shame, we can't use the abilities of the MS and the Poly6 with it...Stephen told, he is a different ball game... dreaming, dreaming, and, maybe building a new futur....

Calibration option for all the control surfaces
Hi,
I would like to put in a feature request to support calibration of all the control surfaces from the OASYS Global Mode page menu command.
Right now it supports calibration of the touchscreen and the eight programmable pads. Could this be extended to support calibration of the joystick, ribbon controller, slider surfaces and control knobs (if those also requires calibration) ?
This would avoid having to visit an OASYS authorized distributor, in case you have re-formatted your internal hard disk for some reason.

Just a note - you shouldn't have to visit them in person; they should be able to give you instructions on how to do it yourself.elvisjohndowson wrote:This would avoid having to visit an OASYS authorized distributor, in case you have re-formatted your internal hard disk for some reason.
