Greek mythology: Kronos killed his father Uranus and tried, unsuccessfully, to kill his children.

.... there is obviously a brilliant guy working in the Korg marketing department.

No, not brilliant; I'd say sick, contemptous and twisted.

I meant it tongue-in-cheek. Several other words would describe it... most of them in German, but it's not worth it.

One last thing concerning Korg Uranus - there is a quite interesting interview with the German Marketing Manager who does not even know about a Korg workstation having more then two synthesis engines before Kronos. One should tell him about the Korg Uranus  .....

Strange time and strange things are going on... scroll down to Sharps posting: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... 2&start=45

You may be pleased but do remember that you have witnessed on these boards exactly how Korg treat its products, its staff and its customers - and, it would seem, even this forum.

If they can behave like this around the OASYS then the can - and will - do it to any other product and customer base. Kronos buyers beware! - you will be monumentally, moronically stupid and dense to think that you'll ever get anything in the future for the Kronos, given the ample evidence through the OASYS history.

I hardly think that's anything to be pleased about...

Yeah, I realised that - but I just wanted the satisfaction of writing it

Missed that post by Sharp - interesting.

However, do you know what? I'm going to give Korg the same care and attention they give me. Which is none.

Sharp... if you read this - sorry about the situation. If there's anything I can do to help, please let me know because whilst Korg can crawl back under the rock it came from, there are lot of people who get huge value out of these boards (a lot more value than they get from Korg, incidentally), so for the users, this board must continue!

(Where would ozy go if he didn't have KF?! )

Can you for 1 second imagine if Ozy had actually bought an Oasys?

Can you imagine the zillion of pages of contemporary analysis text, words stitched together like a factory producing bubble gum of pages and pages and pages and pages of opinion and emotions about the discontinuation of the Oasys?

I mean, I could base a PhD compendium off of that amount of rantings.....

I thought that I just did so. In the original message of discontinuation, there was no intent to distinguish between hardware and software.
Thanks Dan! That's all I wanted to hear. To me it's clear now and the speculations are over. I'm glad we finally got this sorted out. :!:

you're both right kids.

I have been a bit too emotional and long-winded about the Oasys' demise...

It's not an argument worth spending tens of pages of the Forum. Dunno what got me

Just an observation: OASYS is now correctly shown as a discontinued product on Korg UK website. Korg USA site hasn't changed yet.
