There's a lot of very useful functionality deeper in the menus, stuff your wouldn't need to tweak live anyway. Looks soooo much deeper than the EMX-1 was, truly a nice upgrade.

Had to go and check, and yep, it's available: http://i.korg.com/uploads/Support/USA_E ... Guides.zipnew English version of the parameter guide
Nah, me neither. Never mind. Thanks for your reply...Tarekith wrote:It's not in the manual or the parameter guide as far as I can see.apapdop wrote:Does anybody know if motion sequence data can be edited per step, like you can on the esx-1?
If you are unable to edit motion sequence data on the sampler version, then that will be a shame, because you can do some real neat tricks on the esx-1 if you roll up your sleeves and edit the data. I don't think it's such a big deal on the new synth version though. But i'm really pleased about being able to set the behaviour of the knobs on the new Electribe, it'll make things much easier when swapping parts and tweaking values when jamming live. Which is, i guess, what it's geared up to do in the first place...Tarekith wrote:It's not in the manual or the parameter guide as far as I can see.apapdop wrote:Does anybody know if motion sequence data can be edited per step, like you can on the esx-1?

I'm just thinking ahead about the sampler version really. As i said, with the synth engine i don't see a need for the ability to edit motion sequence data. But on the esx-1, that ability opens up a whole bag of tricks when working with samples. Being able to insert sample start points exactly when you want them ii find is a really powerful and useful technique, to name just one. I've got a new Electribe synth on order, but i'm more of a sampler person and i'm VERY interested to see what the new sampler version will have to offer. But if it can't do something i pretty much use all the time on the esx-1... Hmmmm... It depends i guess if the new sampler has the same flexibilty as the new synth, in that any part can be set to sample slice, sample stretch, one shot, keyboard etc.Tom 62 wrote:With four bars only there no need to edit motion sequences
