Dont worry...this is an el-cheapo model of the Oasys with many of the Oasys features. It wont be anywhere near the price of the O. Probably half price.
Take a close look at the control surface...the buttons, sliders the dial wheel all look plasticy but better than M3. You wont have to worry about worn txt

This thing is definately going to make a killing for Korg.
Compare Kronos to pooor little baby Kurzweil...look at the touch screen on Kronos and compare to PC3K. The Kurz looks soooo primitive.
Ok, now I'm starting to get amazed...when i compare to Roland G, Yamaha X and Kurz 3K...no comparison.
Im no Korg fan boy...im no fan boy of anything...but just look at it and compare. Kronos wins hands down. And im sure the price is there to compete with those other 3 companies.
This keyboard will be like the M1 sales...i think they sold two hundred thousand of them???

Ok first complaint lol
Why no brass/reed model???
Wanted this for the O, would of been great to have on the kronos for all solo work.
I need two 88 key workstations, one for my left hand and one for my right hand
Is this thing software upgradable?

OMG!!
Looks fantastic
BTW Is this a replacement for OASYS or M3 Xpanded?
Confused!!
I dont see them pricing it anyway below 2500$
If this is a replacement for M3 then it is of great value but honestly if it is a premium keyboard i would have to think twice about buying

It wont be over priced thats what killed the oasys,
Im sure this will be afforable for all those who buy the usual workstation. Maybe just a bit more expensive but not toooo much. Just a couple more bucks lol
Incidently...where is the inbuilt kaospad???

Well as an OASYS owner I'm happy but sad. It's an OASYS for the masses. And on the 9th day God said let there be OASYS. For all men....
(no offense depending up on your religious views)
If this is competitively priced, this will put some serious pressure on Fantom and Motifs. How could it not? This could be a huge game changer in the workstation landscape. It will come down to price, if it's a slimmed down OASYS for 3k that will be a helluva deal.
I'll feel similar to the way I felt when I paid over 10k for a Sony HD plasma that was only 720p back in 2004 only to sell it fr $300 last year. I sure hope it has more than the 2GB of sample ram that the OASYS has or better yet, that you can use the HD for samples like you can on the Alesis Fusion. Now that would be huuuge. And of course I hope it has more patch storage than the OASYS. Then there's the elephant in the room... surely surely they have to include a better sequencer than the original Triton sequencer. The M3 sequencer update was showing progress, did they improve on that and include it in the "Little O." How bout that... it's first nickname, the "Little O."
What would make this awesome is if the updates were backward compatible with OASYS. Doubt it, but we'll see. As sad as I am knowing I paid dearly for being an early adopter, I have to say if they tidied up the RAM, patch storage and sequencer issues I'll be first in line to buy one! Wow a 61 key OASYS I can travel with. I like that idea!
Man oh man... I wonder what Roland and Yammy will be thinking? And yes I own Yammy's and Rolands too.
