What happened to the girl?
No idea.
Last thread I saw from her was a long time ago. She was selling her OASYS at the time.
I want to propose her. Now.

now I dont know what to have

kronos or mox6+M3M+DSI MEK

It seems thats my dilemma
is the kronos worth those 3 synths? perhaps
it seems I dont get much for my M3M
have to sell it to pay the kronos though

It would please me to just have one synth
but then again

Why have three seperate synths if you can get everything better in one package. You save space and everything is right there in front of you.

well its a little complicated to describe here
I would have mox to controll M3M at home, and MEK in my studio
and in this moment I cant chose, but soon I will be forced

the space is not the problem
the problem is should I sell my M3M for a bargain just to afford kronos
it feels wrong but perhaps its worth it
I already have sold my M50 and radias for bargain prices for this kronos...

Loose the M3M, get the Kronos, and if you really feel you need the MEK, keep it .. Honestly, I don't think you will need it.

Think about the clutter you will dismiss, not to mention the attention you can give to one device .. JMO

Yeah, I've got a somewhat similar situation-

I probably will need to sell my M3-61 and my Nord Stage 88 to afford the Kronos. I'm OK with that in general, being that the Kronos will deliver what i get from these two synths (I'm going to test drive the Kronos first though- I LOVE my Stage).

But I've got 2 rooms in my place, both set up nicely for a keyboard, both ideal for different reasons at different times (where I can play and not bother others).

Also, if I get the K73, I'd also want a second board that was lightweight and shorter. So two keyboards would be ideal.

I'm willing to sell the Nord Stage, cause I'm assuming the Kronos will give me all I get from it, and I should be able to get at least a coupla grand. But the M3-61 would be hard to replace: for a keyboard workstation, it's about as cheap as they come, and the weight is reasonable.

Perhaps when the time comes I'll sell both, buy the Kronos, and buy a second keyboard at another time.

as for the motif+m3+mek combo, as an alternative to kronos,

I find it's a misguided scenario.

it's apples and oranges at the best

The MEK is, IN HER OWN SPECIFIC DOMAIN (analogue and analogue-filtered digital), vastly sonically superior to the kronos which has at best digital emulations of analogue.

on the contary the m3 AND the motif are sonically INFERIOR to the kronos, IN THEIR DOMAINS (romplers),

and OLDER and less performant as workstations.

So: the kronos solutions is undoubtedly more advanced,

EXCEPT for the sonic possibilities of the MEK.

Kronos+MEK is the real answer,

but I am afraid it's not economically equivalent

well it seems there will be no kronos, sob, hade to get a MEK, so instead I probably by a musicomputer wich can handle my native instrument sounds, and keep my M3, eventually mix it with my polar keyboard, well godbye to a very disapointing presentation from korg, anyway they are a little excused by the tsunami and so, but the bad acting was showing long before, so godbye kronos, not god bye korg though

I find nothing disapointing with korg. I hope when you pulled the triger you didn't shoot your self in the foot. oasys-kronos sounds so much better than m3

u mean mp3:s?
well my studio is not up but I can upload some NI patterns/compositions if u like? Its no M3 in there yet, or other synths.

I suppose the Groove XR would be the thing for me, but its not selling in my country. I like to mix 20 Native softsynts in the same time, in real time, thats very cool

The SY77 was a fun keyboard, but I think the SY99 sounded a lot better. Mainly due to the effects but overall it just sounded better. I'm not sure how the comparison works to the Motif (and which Motif?).

The Motif is a superior instrument for live use and maybe even studio work for most people. Of course if you are only talking synthesis, then the 77/99 are more capable in terms of FM synthesis.

My SY99 is on the wall now. Maybe I should give it a listen next to a Motif.
