You never agree with anyone and you are never happy with anything, no matter how good.

Yea Joe that is a a shame somethin with at least two would have been nice, I am tossed up on adding a second Minitaur or Mother32 or just save longer for the sub37. Choices and plenty of time to decide. These roland sound nice as well and I might be tempted away only time will tell.

two octaves
i guess it is possible but i cant see how to change octaves on these
Re: two octaves
Found out how to do this. For JU06 pressing Chorus 2 button and patch buttons let you select a number of functions (buttons 4 to 13 selects the octave). The user manuals are available online (under support).RKfan wrote:i guess it is possible but i cant see how to change octaves on these

Heard the A/B testing on the KRAFT Music videos with the JX3P and Juno 106, unfortunately I can hear difference a fair bit, the Boutiques sound much thinner than their original counterparts enough for me not to bother as I already didn't like the small footprint, if they had sounded excellent i might have got the JX.
Yes i do not like alot of things but i love awry body with out exceptions.BasariStudios wrote:Chilly, i get the impression that you are constantly miserable, you constantly the opposite of everyone.chilly7 wrote:I was pretty disappointed in Diva.

My JP-08 arrived yesterday
Hmmm, I don't like it
There's something missing... it just doesn't have that "Ooomph" that the original JP8 had, and no amount of EQing the bottom/mid end brings that wonderful roundness back.
I've copied the parameters of several presets over to the V-Synth and, considering it's 12 year technology, it sounds remarkably similar (especially the filter) but far richer somehow.
Maybe my ears are failing, I don't know.
I'll have to persevere for a couple of days to see if it grows on me - If not, back it goes.

Funnily I managed to borrow my friends JP 08 Boutique, as I have a Jupiter 50, I also brought across a lot of the parameters, because the Jupiter 50 can emulate the JP8 filter (it has a JP8 filter using SuperNatural), I came very very close indeed and some I couldn't tell the difference at all. Also a note the SuperNatural technology is derived from the V-Synth and the filters are similar, my guess is these new boutiques also lend heavily on that same technology. The V-Synth (I have the XT) for me is excellent at producing Analogue sounds.
