Adding MPC 500 to electribe setup/MIDI and Audio signal flow
Just added mpc500 to electribe 2 and microkorg XL live setup, had some great advice from you all. The MIDI signal flow is MIDI out of E2 to MPC MIDI in, then MIDI out of MPC to Microkorgxl MIDI in. My audio signal flow is Microkorgxl audio out to audio in of E2 to mpc audio in then audio out of mpc to Focusrite saffire 6. I receive sound from the mpc just fine but no sound from electribe or Microkorg, the headphones from the electribe has sound from the E2 and Microkorgxl. It's probably something silly I'm forgetting but if anyone knows the answer to this, I would be very grateful

There's a setting on the mpc500 to pass audio through
Edit: looks like there's not!

I never tried audio through on my mpc500, but all the others have it. Seems like they deactivated it just to cut features for model differentiation

Buska thanks for the speedy reply!, you sir are a gentleman and a scholar, this is the second time your knowledge has helped me in a tight spot. Well looks like the MPC500 is useless to me for my live setup, what would you suggest as a sampler based piece of hardware, I really wanted a small piece of that MPC goodness, I guess I could try one of the other MPC models. Again cheers for your help, I'm going to have to start paying you pretty soon, lol.

Haha no worries
You could either buy a cheap mini mixer secondhand and use that to mix the audio together, but that adds another device and power plug etc.
Or you could sell your 500 and upgrade to the 1000 with JJOS.
If you like the 500, then the 1000 is everything the 500 is but just better.
More pads, more RAM, better audio quality.. Also has less menu diving than the 500. It's still pretty small too so not too bulky for a live rig.
