IFX

Post by Bachus »

Korg must be kidding us, having a single IFX to be shared among the 4 keyboard parts?

I think thats totally unacceptable for a $4000 instrument in 2015.

Yes I totally agree with you! Korg should improve this on their next update because evan smaller & lower priced keyboards have more IFX options!
In my opinion there's no other keyboard that comes evan close to the 3x and 4x so thats why it should be totally perfect!
Windows 10pro/64 bit, Korg pa3x, Roland MC808.

This is definitely the most head scratching step backwards. Almost Roland-esque!

You rarely see hardware (which is what this is) taking such a huge step backwards.

Actually the order of best arrangers is pa3x, pa4x, T5... In ascending order ofcourse ( just kidding)

Anyway, in 2015 one would expect atleast 3 HQ insert effects for each keyboard sound, and 1 each for the arranger tracks ..

But then, they would deffinately need to upgrade their hardware (all of them not just Korg) from last century to 21st century... Is that to much to demand from a €4000 instrument?

On Pa3x you could use max. 8 DSP at a time:

Keyboard parts: 1 IFX + 2 MFX or 0 IFX + 3 MFX
Style parts: 3 IFX + 2 MFX or 2 IFX + 3 MFX

On Pa4x you can use 10 DSP

Keyboard parts: 1 IFX + 2 MFX
Style parts: 4 IFX + 3 MFX

They just added the two extras to style tracks, basically keyboard tracks works as before...

On Kronos you have 12 IFX +4 MFX
On Tyros you have 9 IFX + 6 MFX..

On mainstage i have like 8 IFX/track and 8 MFX or more, as you can put busses in serial format... ifx are really important in my total sounds..

Getting pretty tired of these Kronos comparisons.

Apples and oranges, guys.

When has an arranger, ANY ARRANGER, ANY MANUFACTURER ever been equivalent with their TOTL workstation?

When is everyone going to remember this?

Are there things on the MoXF that the T5 can't do... hell yes! Is a BK-9 much in common with a Jupiter80? Not much!

Why are Korg being singled out for not having an arranger with everything the WS has?
