With the advent of the new Pa4X, has anything been said about backwards compatibility?
I've so far been able to keep my fav. arrangements from Pa1X pro - Pa2x pro -pa3X 76
Pa3X 76 has served me well for between 1250 and 1300 gigs
I posted last week about the memory battery having seemingly run out of cycles.
I have 3 or 4 keys which are starting to wear through, so..
before I start changing keys and contact strips
Maybe I should just get a 4X?

Hi Tommy, here lies your problem with direct transfers of Data from your pa3x... From Korg specs!
Over 500 factory Styles with Intros, Endings, Fills, Count-ins, and Breaks
- 4 Keyboard Sets and 4 Pads per Style,
- 13 Internal user banks and 13 Direct user banks locations for unlimited storage
On pa3x you have 15 factory Banks whereas you only have 13 extended Factory Banks. Not so easy to transfer everything as before because of that changed FORMAT... Other issues as well with sample memory and much more. Pa4x is great if starting from scratch I guess...

You'll get more information about all this (and more) on the PA4X sub-forum.

i was hoping to see direct streaming of my samples - and it appears that this feature is not yet available for users / but seems available to factory sounds. So i have decided to stick with PA3x for the time being. One day korg might implement that feature.
