I use a Kawai F-20 which I believe is made by Fatar. It is a very good pedal, very robust, consisting of a half damper for the right pedal and a simple switch for the left. The only problem is that Kawai use half dampers which are the reverse of Korg. Also has a single TRS plug so you need a cable splitter. However, these are problems that are easily fixed. Something to think about.

I don't know if the half damper Kawai is reversed from the Korg or just totally different.

I have both the Kawai and Yamaha half dampers. They are incompatible with each other and Neither works with the Kronos. I wish one would because both have way better travel than the Korg pedal.

They are single jack, as far as i can see. Does the Kronos know what to do with only one pedal input?

exactly what i was thinking,
footswitch is easy all that it does is turn the signal OFF & ON sustaining / half-damping on the other hand requires continious controller message.

You can plug the Kawai pedal into the Kronos but only the half damper will work in that case. If you use a cable splitter, you can plug one into the damper jack and the other into the assignable switch jack (for use as a soft pedal etc.). To get a Kawai half damper to work on the Kronos you need to set it to reverse in the Global menu and you also need to place a 910 ohm resistor in parallel with the half damper. (1000 ohms will do). You can do this handily by soldering the resistor into the half damper plug. I covered the reason for this in earlier posts. It's rather technical but if you do a search you can get the info. I won't explain it here.
