TECHNIQUE: Arpeggio Template for Electribe/Sampler

Since the Electribe and Sampler design has abandoned a proper sequencer, I built a template with about 200 arp patterns, in every minor key. These can be loaded individually into any track in any pattern, and are midi data (not samples) so it's easy to scroll through voices to get the right tone. The notes within these patterns can also be edited to suit the needs of an individual application. In this video I tell you all about it.. Don't forget to follow me at

That's fantastic actually. Can you use the patterns on the e2 or are these sampler only?

Doh!
I was stumbling over something today that this just helped me with.
I forgot that, with regard to parts, it is a copy from procedure. I was banging my head for a couple of hours today trying to copy a part to another pattern. This reminded me that you have to be in the pattern, and copy your part from another. I totally knew that, and yet somehow totally forgot. Thanks!

Could upload just a few Arp patterns instead of all? Would be handy just to try out!

Thanks for this Sauce. I am new to the Electribe, I've only had it a few weeks and it is my first Korg product, but the one thing that strikes me after watching videos and browsing the forums, is that you're a bit of a legend.

Absolutely. I am already putting one together, with a few synth waves, for everybody to work with.

how did you programmed them? with stepedit or in an external program?

I used an Akai MPK49 and Ableton Live to record a huge clip of arpeggios at once, then I rendered each track as audio, then converted the audio back to MIDI. Lastly, I chopped the large MIDI file into 4-bar loops, making sure each section sounded ok in 4/4 time, then recorded a different pattern onto each of the pads in the ES2.
