Suitable microphone for M3 vocoder function

Post by musicwerks »

Hi,

My M3 has several vocoder patches and currently I am using a v cheap karaoke mic as input for vocoding. Problem is sometimes the sound buzzes...

I tried using shure SM45 with xLR to quarter inch jack...but I get no sound out from M3.

May I ask what suitable semi-pro/pro mic can be used for M3 vocoding?

Thanks

I've bought a Shure WH20 for this very purpose.

It will work with any dynamic microphone. I use a Shure SM58 and a Beyerdynamic M69, both work well.
