Resampling a loop

Post by colulizard »

When re-sampling is there a way to play the part(s) you want to resample in a one bar (or two, three, four) bar loop where the loop will stop automatically.
At the moment i'm hitting "stop" to try and stop the loop - with not always perfect timing.
I suppose i could switch to a blank pattern, , stop recording, then use a DAW to trim the audio file to the perfect length but wondering if there's a way to do it in the Es2
Korg MonoPoly, APC 20, Ableton Live, NI Massive, Bass Station rack.

I wish there was. What I do is having the first bar of sequencer steps showing on the pads. Start resampling, then once the first bar has played, clear all the steps in the first bar. Hit stop before it reaches the second bar. That ensures that you won't resample anything from the first bar again.

If I want to trim to exact length, then I have a little bpm/sample length converter (at 48KHZ!!!)
If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.

Volca Sample, FM, Beats, Kick. OP-1, Monologue, Pocket Operators. And an ipad.

What apapdop said.

I bring them into reaper once i've set the bpm and snap grid then it will drag ends to correct end of bar as was too lazy to do the bpm/time conversion.
