Can an effect be placed on my voice seperate from effecting the loop? Haven't figured how to do this. Thanks a bunch!
Not really.
Only if you sample your voice.
To sample with effects in place (and everything you hear out the output) hold shift, then press Sample.This would allow different effects stored on different sample banks.
Other than that, the effect triggered by main XY pad is applied to everything you hear and only one effect program at any one time.
