Just curious,
When will we get the next software update (OS) for our PA600. Last update was in 2014 and there was none in 2015.
Any ideas.

I personally think the song book has to be improved. In my situation I got many songs (more than 1000) in my song book and I find it hard to quickly locate a song, with only few touches. I prefer a way of easy navigation (may be level 1 select the Artist then Level 2 Songs belong to the selected Artist in level 1). With the touch screen on PA600 with correct software, possibilities are unlimited.
I tried to create an Android App for a tablet, using MIDI commands, so that I can create a UI as I wish and then use it to select the entries in song book once the PA is connected to tablet using a USB cable. It was not successful due to an issue in the MIDI driver I used for Android.

Still not given up will try it again.

Wow

You really need get to work your App for tablet,... over 1000 songs... I didn't even know Song Book can take that much
I don't think that kind of improvement be approve for update, but who knows.
I wish Korg give us more possibility to control over midi, like sending CC# when element is change or way to fire Pads from external controller, but the most important now is to fix what is already there and seems not working correctly.
Many people who got experience with many other brands of Arranger saying Korg Pa has best Song Book , I believe them and for me is better that I need.
Good Luck with your App project.

Roy,
I just use the filter in Songbook and have all the Artists reduced to two letters. So Pink Floyd PF, etc and single word Artists as first and last letters Beatles, BS. So filtering by Artist is very quick. This works well for me.

Hello,
I came over with windows tablet,
I am calling the songs in songbook over midi files with 2 decimal code for song number.
In word it can be made the song table, some cross reference with bookmarks.
This can be saved as html, so opened in firefox or IE.
PA600 MIDI can be choosed with Vista MIDI Fix.
MIDI files can be played with Media Player Classic, which can be put into task bar.
Voila!
Regards,

Please a converter from SF2 to PCM multisample... also may be via PC software.. this will be great and give more chance to sell still PA600.
It need only an algorithm already present in KORGPAMANAGER software

I use Mobilesheets Pro to display music score on tablet. This app links the Korg songbook with the tablet database via a USB using midi number commands, and when the score is selected the keyboard songbook is also selected. Or you can selecta songbook entry and the score is displayed. Mobilesheets has a large variety of song selection options, mine are loaded as PDF files and sorted into set lists, style, genre, name, artist, composer etc and finding songs is fast.
Only one problem so far, I made the mistake of using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 12.1 and permitted it to upgrade the O.S. to Lollipop 5.1.1 which has a Samsung-introduced bug that kills the midi link!!
If you select a different make of tablet, (check with Mobilesheets first) you will find that this process is a real game changer for a gig musician. I have scanned into the tablet nearly 800 songs and they all fit onto a 4 Gig micro SD card, so you could easily carry around many more and it takes up little space.
