KP3+ wet/dry blend in direct mode (and another question)

Hi,

I recently bought a KP3+ and I am confused by the behaviour of the dry/wet blend knob, especially with effects like the loopers and granulators. It seems not well attenuated. For example, when it's at 12 o'clock, my input signal drops more than I would like. This means my overall volume drops whenever I engage an effect at a setting other than 100% wet. I don't have this problem at all with my KPmini2.
Is this normal (in which case I'll rush it back the the store before they make me keep it)? I'm guessing the blend knob should keep a pretty much constant overall volume across its dry/wet range?
Anything I can do myself maybe?

As for the other question: am I going crazy or does the granulator in the kp3+ sound completely different from the one in the mini? Anyone else find that effects sound different in these units?

Cheers thanks for your time

I think its normal? Thats why there's the INPUT VOLUME knob above it for adjustment.
It differs with various effects because its oldschool electro, there's NO PC volumizer built-in.

Do the factory reset and device test, if that will makeyou feel better:

Hm I see.
Yeah it doesn't necessarily sound like anything is "wrong" with the unit, it's just I was confused because the grain shifter on the mini sounds much smoother to my ears... But maybe it's just because the effects themselves are different on the two units.

Just out of curiosity, anyone else think the KPmini2 grain shifter sounds kind of better?

Kpmini sounds like a toy with weaker battery amped sound quality/electronics, hence flat and "smoother".
Kp3 has more powerful dynamicer/harsher sound quality, you'll need a mixer/EQ to smooth that out.[/url]

Fair enough, but let me clarify: the grain shifter on the mini processes the sound in a different way than the grain shifter on the kp3+, like they're two different effects. I was surprised by this and was wondering if anyone else had noticed it.

I've been pleasantly surprised by the sound if the mini 2 (it does seem to sound way better than the first mini, if that video is anything to go by).

The effects sound much nicer in the mini 2 compared to the mini.
The mini has same effects as my kp3 ,the grain shifter is completely different from mini 2.I haven't heard the KP3+.
