Hi,
as result of a Hard disk corruption I've reloaed the Pa800 Operating System ver. 2.0.2 (the one directly downloaded from the Korg website - 113Mb), but still I'm experiencing "generic device error" .
Additionally, the keyboard get stuck anytime I select the song play section.
What kind of full OS restore procedure should I follow to fix the situation once and for all ?
pls advise
thanks
arturo

P As we speak I can play the keyboard only in the "style" mode

Hi Arturo

Not necessarily a main board problem
Has your hard disk been replaced/fixed/re-formatted?

Perform a full PA800 OS and musical resources restore (v2.03)

You can download them here:-
http://www.korg.com/us/support/download ... /193/2462/ (OS 2.03 5.5MB)
http://www.korg.com/us/support/download ... /193/2463/ (Musical resources 2.03 7.7MB)

Good luck

Pete :D

The pa800 does not store the os on the hard disk (which it doesn't have from the factory) thats why i suspect the CPU board.
The pa800 (64mb) stores all the information in the mainboards NAND memory (when you upgrade to 256 only the PCM folder goed to the HDD and the others are still in NAND).
When the CPU board goes bad, it can't access the NAND memory ,which is in the other pcb (mainboard), and you get this error...
