Kronos digital out to Scarlett 6i6

I was wondering if anyone has tried this with success before I spend time/money on it...
I'd like to use the Kronos digital output into a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6. I know I need a toslink to coax/rca converter going from the Kronos to the audio interface for the audio signal, and the reverse if I want the PC to be the clock master.
My question is... Has anyone gotten this (or similar) working?
I found a previous thread on this topic, which ended without resolution --

I know a friend who uses one of those converters and it works fine.
The Kronos can't be clock slave though, so you're pretty much stuck at 48KHz external clock for your computer.

Good to know. I run at 48KHz anyway, so that won't be an issue. Thanks!!

Guys, sorry for hijacking but as you are talking about focusrite I bought a Focusrite Saffire Pro 14. I'll receive that next week.
How do you like that? Has great amps, is it solid?
Thank you folks.

Hope this is a decent response:
I'm successfully using this device to send coax SPDIF from Line6 Helix to Kronos TOSLINK in.

i was using my Kronos2 digital out with my Focusrite 18i8. You need an optical to coax converter. Then once connected just go to the Focusrite Mix control and change to 48 khz. Then setup your spdif channels in your daw.
One issue i faced (not Kronos issue), i will have to keep changing the setting to 48 Khz in Mixcontrol as it will always default to 44.1khz when i off my pc, saving the Mix control settings to hardware does not help either.

Isn't there an option in the Kronos Global settings to be able to slave to an external audio clock over S/PDIF?
It can't slave to anything other than 48kHZ, however when I run my interface at 96kHZ, I just set my interface to halve the S/PDIF clock.

I finally got around to doing this. For those who are interested...
I purchased one of these as my toslink to coax converter --
http://www.monoprice.com/Product?p_id=2 ... hgodD74KqA -- it does the job, but the power cord fits a bit loosely, so keep that in mind if you're thinking of buying one. If you're not planning on moving it around, it shouldn't be a problem.
Kronos digital out --(toslink cable)--> converter box --(coax/rca cable)--> 6i6 digital in
I am using the Kronos as my clock master, and have the Scarlett MixControl set to 48 KHz with external sync, and have two channels assigned to spdif L/R for monitoring.
So far, works just fine. I haven't played with any other configurations.
