Feeling really dumb here but..

Post by hand solo »

I've cloned my Kronos 1 Programs and Combis to the Kronos 2...but can't save my self-created samples to the internal HD...gotta be something simple..what am i missing ?

I have all my samples named "91613" (date of original creation ) on a flash drive...able to load this into the Kronos 2, but when select Internal Hard Drive on Drive Select, hit lower Save tab, then the Save drop-down menu, it is grayed out where i would hit "Save Sampling Data" to get it on the HD.

the samples play in all the right slots by loading from the flash drive, i can't save them on the HD.

help please...thanks

wouldn't you Copy them to the hard drive first?

i tried to copy and paste the 91613.KSC to the internal hard drive but i get the message "medium write protected".

and according to the Media Info tab, the internal hard disk write protect is OFF.

I would copy the file from the stick to the internal drive first, then load it from the internal drive.

It looks like the OP tried that. Might your disk be full? Or are you trying to copy to a system folder?

i'm trying to copy my user -created samples , in a folder called "91613.KSC" to the Kronos Two Internal hard drive.

i'm not getting any disk full error message...i'm able to load the samples in all their correct slots via the flash drive, but would prefer to have them on the hard drive , and in Autoload, as i do on my Kronos One.

Does the folder name have a period in it? Might be the Kronos basic Linux OS can't create that.

no periods except "91613.KSC" this is the exact same folder of samples that resides on the internal drive of my Kronos One. i'm stumped !

Go into "global" basic tab. make sure the "memory protect" is un-ticked.

I finally got the samples to reside on internal hard disk and autoload on startup….not sure if one, some, or all of these did the trick…but I made notes.

*Global / Memory Protect- Internal HD Save not checked

* From my flash drive, I loaded three sample files “91613”, “91613_UserBank.KSC” , and “91613.KSC”

*DISK/Save/ Save Sampling Data/ Save All

*GLOBAL / KSC Auto-Load - 91613.KSC checked

Thanks all for your input..hopefully this will be of assistance to another Kronos user down the line….working with samples can be daunting for some of us !
