Hi,
I am new to this but I have the possibility to obtain a 76-key Kronos 2012 version.

My question is if it is upgradable to become equal to a new 76-key or does the hardware and features differ so that is not possible?

What are the main differences between the older and newer versions?

Thanks alot in advance

I think they are 73 key instead of 76 key. Just Google Kronos X and Kronos 2 and you can read the differences for yourself. Plus it will save time for me listing the differences. Quite a few differences though. Good luck in your decision.

Thanks. I will check that out.

It sounds like they are quite far apart and it isn't just a matter of updating the older one to "get" the new version then.

Yea but the K2 has vents that that makes the Kronos run cooler and wood panels and different processor i think.

There are some cosmetic changes and the new ones comes with more RAM and SSD space as standard. You can upgrade the old one though, and also get the "New Kronos Sound Pack" for 250. At that point they're basically identical in function and sound.
