Trying my first update from version 1. something to 3.0.4. but struggling. have tried search but no luck there.
I have an IMac. I have formatted a usb for FAT 32 in the Kronos (full format)
I have downloaded the update file from Korg. There are 10 files within the folder. The only one I can see applies is "KRONOS Update 3.0.4.tar.gz
I left double click on this but an error message says unable to expand.
So I then just copied that whole file to my usb - put it into Kronos -- Global -- Update system software but the error message here is "failed : source device not found. I tried the same with another usb to check that but same outcome
Am I failing in that I am not unzipping the update file ?? Am I correct in targeting that file ?? Do I need to try another way of unzipping ??
Phew !! Any help very much appreciated

You MAY get some useful info watching this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvtBc_f ... e=youtu.be One other thing that worked for me, I found that the USB port on the right (as viewed from playing position) worked better for me than the one on the left. You might try switching ports.

the 10 should be at the root level on your USB
you don't double click on anything.
the D/l should unzip when you copy it over to your USB. It sounds like that
did work.
There are about 15-20 trouble shooting steps with the install.
all well chronicled if you google search.
Also suggest you follow the step by step install instructions perfectly.
Try the install at least twice.
Its also easy to have an incomplete D/L. You could try another D/L.
Also suggest you have a new or newer USB. sometimes hidden files stick around on heavily used USB's.
You will get it done.
