need some advice on a live set up

i currently use the iKaossilator app on my phone to add to our live recordings I've plugged it through an AUX on our synth but the sounds aren't crisp. I bought an adapter to plug my phone straight into an amp but the sounds still don't sound the way they should when all 5 sounds in the loop are playing at once. what should I do here??
