You could re-sample the drum.. Chop the sample into oneshot hits, or loop it.

Could also hire a drummer - just pray he didn't recently bought a china crash.

When making User Drum Track Pattern, it's possible.

1. Copy Track in Drum you made in User Pattern in Pattern Edit of a SEQ mode ("Get From MIDI Track").
2. Make User Drum Track Pattern ("Convert to Drum Track Pattern").
3. Set made User Drum Track Pattern to Song (P1:DrumTrack).
4. Add a song to Set List.

If what you're asking is what I think then I've never found a way to do it.

I'm assuming that you want the drum track to play as a backing track and you be able to set it going and then switch between other sounds as you (and a band probably) play over the top?

If you can "fit" all your sounds in the remaining fifteen tracks in the sequencer song, you can do it. You can set them up on different midi channels and add your song to the setlist multiple times. For each setlist slot you can specify the "active track". That way you can switch between playing the various timbres in a single sequence without any of the backing tracks (or the drum track) stopping.
