newbie question re midi file

Post by Vinjali »

I want to load a midi file into my kronos and be able to play along by muting tracks.I have seen QuiRobinez' tutorial on using a midi file as a backing track, but I think he shows how to use the midi file to modify a combi.Would somebody kindly show me how or direct me where to look in the manual?
Many thanks

I'm pretty sure he did it in sequencer mode. In any case, that is what I did. Transfer midi file from computer to thumb drive, then load file. This places song in sequencer mode.

Hope this helps.

And if your Midifile follows the GM-Standard, then don't forget to perform a "GM-Initialize" from the "Sequencer: Page Menu Commands", before loading the file from disk.
