nanoKontrol 2: problems with led external mode

Post by juanigp »

Hello people, I am writing a program in Processing to remap some of my nk2 midi messages to have other functions.

The remapping thing is working OK, but I have an issue with the led feedback:

the Global Midi Channel is set to 1, LED mode is EXTERNAL.
In Processing (with theMidiBus library), I've set both as MIDI input and output my nk2. So, to turn on the leds I tried sending a MIDI CC (the same number as the button i wanna light up), through MIDI channel 1, to my MIDI output (which is nk2).

But this doesnt do a thing, I mean, the lights keep turned off. The same happens when I try to do the same but with a NOTE ON message (to light up a different button)

So, how am I supposed to send the messages?

Thank you!!

Figured it out: As I said, the GLOBAL CHANNEL was set to 1, the "first" channel. But in Processing, the first channel is channel 0, so that was the problem. Rookie mistake :p
