Idea for next Volca: Volca Wave

Post by jbw »

Similar to the Volca Sample, in that users could customize the sounds, but with some form of sample based wavetable synthesis rather than the Volca Sample style of sample playback.

I use the term "sample based wavetable synthesis" loosely, leaving the exact type of synthesis up to the designers and engineers, but I for one would like to see something along these lines for the next Volca.

And song mode is a must!

Every Volca from here on out should have song mode. Makes the Volcas much more versatile.

Could maybe even break the song mode into different parts, like the Volca Sample's 10 parts, and allow users to put together patterns and songs with drum, bass, and lead sounds.

Maybe have 4 parts instead of 10, and drop the number of sound slots down from the Volca Sample's 100 down to allow more time for each sample (or expand on the 65 seconds if possible).

And for sample management, an iOS app or desktop app that let you save sound sets as projects for easy loading, rather than single sample at a time loading.

These Volcas are nifty little devices, keep growing and improving them!

If we're wishlisting, give me a:

Volca mix

a 4-6 input battery powered portable volca-sized mixer, with Korg NuTube technology and limited kaoss fx functionality. Minijack stereo inputs. Throw in volca sync io and motion sequencable kaoss fx pls!

My needs with volca tonegen dept are already met with te keys, sample and fm. but I need a mixer with 1 fx send/return to go with em!

Volca GM. Might be nice to have a Volca that has any acoustic pianos, guitars, wind instruments, in the General Midi format. Maybe it wouldn't be very popular, but if it could be done, I'm sure somebody out there might appreciate it as a Crayola box of sounds.

A V/Sampler v2 with a keypad like the V/Keys and V/FM
FLUXMODE like the V/Keys and the ability to switch betwen FLUX and Stepmode !!chromaticplay!! on the device and not with a special midikabel
and remove the analogisolator and bring back the lovely Stutter and overwork the reverb because its s*x is the value to high u cant hear the sound and all sounds what have reverb on share the same values
