I am sure that this is out there somewhere and maybe even in the manual, if someone can point me in the right direction:

Here is what I am trying to do. I want to create a combi that is comprised of a combination of Stereo Acoustic Piano, some kind of ambient pad, EP, and Brass/synth sound. With the ability to mix them on the fly during performance. The sounds are there and I have been able to pull them into a single combi, but I don't hear anything but the first sound (Piano). I am sure that I am missing some critical switch or task.

If there is a tutorial, relevant section in the manual, I will be more than happy to do the grunt work reading/viewing of it, I just can't seem to find the particulars.

Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance!

This video shows Song mode, but it applies to Combis. For setting up the sounds, pay attention to :40 seconds in to 1:50. For switching sounds, pay attention to the part following 3:52.

Note: Combis are usually controlled from MIDI channel 1 or the GLOBAL MIDI channel. Songs are controlled by Track channels (1 - 16).

I suspect you didn't assign the timbre midi channel properly. or you didn't set to "int" the timbre.

when you are working on combi mode you have to set up everything accordingly.

1st, from your combi mode assign your desire patch from your prog mode into your combi's timbre.

2nd, make sure all the timbres that you will be using is set to "int". you will find that in the track parameter tab, under that tab is MIDI tab where you will assign midi channel of each timbres. make sure all of the timbres that you are using are set to midi channel 1 or midi gch.

3rd, if you are layering only the prog into your combi. make sure to set keyboard zone of each timbre into key zone bottom C0 to key zone top G9.
unless you will split some timbres. then you will have to set it in your desire range of key zones.

That is exactly what happened. After playing around some and watching a couple of more Youtube vids, I found that each track/patch had defaulted to the midi channel of whatever track it was (1 for 1, 10 for 10, etc...) Once I changed it to global (1), everything worked as expected.... Thanks for the input, guys.... appreciate all the help!
