Hi, i just bought on ebay a Korg Kross on like new condition but after i plugged in and tested only the last 4 keys make sound, none of the others. Can this be a problem of configuration or the Keyboard could be damaged?

The Kross seems like new, it even have the plastic protector on it.

Thanks for your help :)

Just to make sure the problem is in the operating system, the electronic components or just the key contacts, check if MIDI is sent when you press one of those non-sounding keys. If midi is sent, there is no problem with the keys.

You must use a midi interface or the korss own usb midi interface and a program to receive midi data. I suggest you use MIDIOX. It if free and useful.

Make sure you've installed the last update on the kross operating system. And try restoring default factory settings - just to fix if anything has been incorrectly configured before.

A factory reset is done with the Kross powered off, holding the "8" and "Exit" keys and switching on the keyboard.

Once the Kross has initialised, the Preload data will need to be loaded.

@voip thank-you, I can't remember where this is mentioned in the manual for Kross and needed to know this.
