Sign Petition for Semi-Weighted 73 KEY Korg Kronos Keyboard
If you want to see Korg release a Semi-Weighted key version of the Korg Kronos 73 KEY - Please - yes here to sign the Petition.
Korg please release a Korg Kronos 73 key with semi-weighted key action. Although some are happy with the 73 key weighted version of the Korg Kronos - A significant portion of us ARE NOT. WE DON't WANT TO SWITCH to FULLY WEIGHTED VERSIONS. 61 keys is too limiting - not allowing one to play piano and or really split the board efficiently.
The other major keyboard companies are still releasing 73 -76 key semi-weighted keyboards - so there are many of us still who prefer this.
I do respectfully think that Korg is missing out on a significant demographic of keyboard players (many who are not on this forum - I know many) who are not "Pianists" but rather "Keyboard Players" who don't want fully weighted keys. For us the 73 (or 76) key semi - weighted keyboard is essential.
We don't want to drag 2 keyboards out night after night to gigs in order to have a non- weighted action keyboard along to play things that cannot easily be played on the weighted Kronos keyboard - ie. organ, fast runs and synth solos . ...... Importantly, I understand there are a lot of professional keyboard players like me who have ALWAYS played non-weighted keys and cannot afford the pain associated with weighted keys - leading to carpel tunnel. As a loyal Korg buyer - I don't want to have to switch to another major keyboard company who is catering to my demographic. (Also I imagine that a lot of beginner keyboard players might choose an easier action keyboard if given a choice also). (76 or 73 keys makes no difference).

I'd much rather a 64Bit OS with a truck load of RAM for Streaming.

Just get a midi-controller keyboard of 73/76 keys next to a Kronos. Itg gives you want you want, is a light weight and low cost solution. I have a 61 PCR800 controller next to a Kronos88. Perfect match. I set the the midi keyboard to transmit over Midi Channel 4, and on the Kronos define combis/seqs that are triggered by the Kronos (Ch 1) and by the PCR800 (Ch 4). You have more keys then also, to setup even more zones.
