hi i worked on a sf2 on the program polyphone but dont wont to load in the pa4x is there anything im missing with that program or any other program what sf2 will work on the pa4x thanx

Importing SF2 files with "single multisample" (that is a sf2-instrument) or with "complete bank" (that is a sf2-preset) really does not mean to "load" programs (PCG-files) for Pa4x. It simply is an import of multisamples - it really works satisfactory - but import does not contain parameters you need to create and edit sounds ready for playing.

In most cases setting parameters are necessary to finish oscillators to get sounds (pcg) as expected.

Korg offers importing sf2-files with Pa4x but same time points out that differences between Korgs format and sf2-instruments would prevent importing them (for example Instruments with overlapping zones).

Creating a multisample in PA4x you choose some samples, where none of the them must overlap noteranges within a multisample, whereas sf2-samples does not have this restrictions. So it is necessary to prepare sf2-instruments to be without overlaps before importing (for example with stereosamples).

There is different software to edit sf2-files (like "Polyphone") you can use to eliminate overlaps to get sf2-files importable without errors. Each time you have overlaps an additional sf2-instrument is to create (to get a seperate multisample as necessary for stereo-sounds for example).

Can be done manually but some people use software "Awave" for converting sf2 to pcg - this converter automatically generate as much multisamples as necessary for pcg-files.

PS: in case of importing an unique sample (mono, without zones, without additional parameters than defaults) maybe to create a simple sound (pcg) is possible, but well-structured sf2-files requires preparation.
