I may have a fly-in gig coming up soon. I'm not able to get a Kronos, which is what I use for live performance, from the employer, only a Yamaha sy77. I have a MacBook Pro. I'm wondering if I can download Korg's Gadget and Module on to my MacBook, use those apps for live performance? Also, is it possible using Gadget for multi's and splits and is there a setlist function? Basically I'm trying to get a cutdown version of the Kronos using Korg apps. Oh, I'm not a fan of Mainstage. I have it and I CANNOT get my head around the GUI of mainstage and I'm not crazy about its sounds. Any help would be great appreciated. Thanks.

If it's Gadget and Module that you want why not just use an iPad?
I assume you know about the correct interfaces and setup (USB 3 connector with charging available, airplane mode). I don't know if the Yamaha has USB Midi but if not then an audio interface like a Steinberg UR22MK2 mk2 will do the trick.
If it's nice sounds you need for your iPad - check out the freebies from my site.
Hope it goes well.

Thanks for the reply, gentlemen. The sy77 has general midi. I have an M-Audio midi interface for connecting to my macbook. I was just hoping I could use my macbook running Module and Gadget. My ipad is a mini, old and I simply wouldn't trust it. So, I assume I can't use my macbook to run Module and Gadget? Thanks.

you might try to set up a virtual machine to run ios ...better to take care about CPU usage (so avoiding heavy instruments) and your ipad will do the job fine
otherwise you might need vsts and a daw (even a free one like reaper) to do it on macbook
sampletank for ios has also great sounds give it a try
