Hi all. I just loaded iWAVESTATION to my iPad and iPhone. I am trying to use it with iMIDIPatchbay. I need to select the Midi input of the iWS to Network Session 1.
All I can find is Bluetooth MIDI......
Btw, iWS works fine by itself with a camera kit and a USB controller.
Want to use iWS with MKSensation, bs-16i, Animoog (phone) and iMini (iPad).
Almost there, please help!

Haven't used imidipatchbay, but I use midibridge app and it works with iWS

Hi all it works kind of.
Until Korg adds a virtual port and access to Network Session, the iWS will always play on direct Midi input. Here is my setup and workaround:
Evolution MK361c controller
IPhone 5s or iPad
IWAVESTATION
BS16i with a sound font of my Kurz piano, 01w ep, 01w clav and synths
MidiBridge
IMidiPatchBay (to send program and cc changes)
Connect your controller to USB to Camera kit to iPhone or iPad.
Launch iWS. Play notes.
Load bs-16i. Set Midi input to Network Session 1.
Launch impb: iWS still plays with all outputs disabled.
Launch Midi bridge. Connect controller out to impb in. IWS still plays.
In impb,
Global set Master in 1 to your controller channel 1.
Set program change input to your controller channel 1.
Use Virtual impb channel 1 to relay note PGA cc info.
Set master 1 to your controller channel 1 program change 0
(This calls the first song in the set list).
Set Ext 1 to BS16i channel program 0 (Kurz Sweet Ivories)
You should hear both BS16i and iWS sounding.
Set Ext 2 to IWAVESTATION ch1 msb off lsb 18 (user) program 3 (strings)
Impb will send program changes to the iWS, but it will double every note and cut the iWS polyphony in half...
Impb will also send an independent program change to BS16i and allow you to layer or split them.
So now I can layer my 01/w clav sample with Wheel Filter Strings or OhBe Poly...
