We're almost a week into the new year and what better time to buckle down again with OSAM. If you're interested in signing up simply post in this thread and PM me your e-mail if you'd like updates and reminders.
The overall goal this year is, of course, to make one song a month. On top of that let's act as a community and engage our fellow participants. Things we should pay attention to when looking at other peoples entries are:
Mix quality - how balanced is the mix? are you able to provide mixing tips? plug-in suggestions?
Composition - how do you like the chord progression? suggestions on song structure and music theory.
Sound design - are the timbres too distorted/dull/bright etc? Maybe physical modeling would be a better choice than a treated multisample.
For added fun please include the key and tempo of your song as I'll make a mixtape of all the entries for the previous month. This is also to motivate people to post on time as no entry means you won't be included in that month's mix.
I'm excited to hear some original music and expect us all to grow a lot this year! Let's do our best!
