Hello dear friends, (Sharp, Pete, Sam, Nedim, and many more old and new members),
I have been absent from this forum for a couple years. Work (building International Space Station) and life kept me busy . In the mean time I have been playing and performing with my Pa2x.

As I started reading various threads on the forum recently, I got the urge to upgrade (new shiny toy) even if it was not needed. Anyway, I ordered a Pa4x 61 and am awaiting anxiously. 61 keys to save combined ~8-10 lb weight for Kb and case (Pa2x was too heavy). HD will be missing but I plan to use a large capacity microSD to make up for it. Thank you Korg.

Hopefully I will be able to share my experience as well as learn from the esteemed colleagues.

Let me firstly explain that OF COURSE "IT IS NEEDED" - new keyboards are always NEEDED

Seriously you will love the PA4X and yes, the microSD is perfect for storage.
I have the 76 model and last night performed another full backup of my HD (on which I have a LOT of files) onto USB flash drive but it only totalled under 3GB!!!!
I can't imagine filling a 16GB mSD let alone the internal 500GB HDD!!

I agree - it is heavy (the 76) - particularly in its case - if you really really needed a 76 you could always consider a 76-note MIDI controller keyboard.

Be aware that the PA4X has a new OS and there is a bit of a learning curve involved.
Personally I really like the changes and believe Korg have made the keyboard so much more logical and also fabulous to operate both for live performance and recording.

Be prepared to have some amazing times!!!

I am always up for the challenge. Looking forward to the new KB by Friday. I'm excited. OS complexity does not bother me. After i3, Pa1x, and Pa2x, I am looking forward to more options and control.

The one challenge will be to bring all my work from Pa2xpro (76) to Pa4x (61). Organizing your work is something no manufacturer can tell you. Some users are blessed with good organization logic while others are poor. I think we should make this topic a thread and have users share their approaches in organization and data management.

Maybe I can bring old work to the Direct access region? But remapping everything will be the issue. I will eventually get rid of Pa2x after transition is complete.

Glad you guys are way ahead of me to mentor and guide.
