Exactly, feels that way right?, but i'm still hopeful for the WOW moment to come, it is early, heard Moog might be springing something new, possibly new Modular.

It would be nice if Moog goes eurorack. Wouldn't it be cute to see miniature versions of their modular stuff? :)

Why it is early? I thought Namm already started.

Maybe there is a technical reason they cannot go Eurorack?
Maybe in a such small space they cannot deliver Moog sound?

I see less and less exited products awry new Namm. At this time i do not see any exited products at all. But maybe only 16 voices analog Prophet might be interesting thing.

I don't know what kind of music you are into. If analog, there seems to be a resurgence.

If you are mostly following 1 or 2 cos ( like Moog, DSI) those cos only intro new products once every few years.

I personally think we live in the best of times, for music recording and performance. There are good quality products for almost every budget, it seems

It's Early, cause it's only day 1, might be more surprises to come out. One thing i found disappointing is the lack of live streaming bands and live reports from retailers and web tech reviewers. Very very light and most using instagram with poor quality cams and recorders. Past years were done IMO, much better. The only thing i liked reporting wise so far was done on Deepmind 12 hosted facebook live by Behringer on Tuesday.

Keyboard wise, so far nothing has grabbed by interest. DSI sounds like ground hog day ... :-). The DM12 has it's VR attraction and IMO the 80/90's song patches sound true to the way they original sounded back then, like TOTO's Africa and EW's Frankenstien which was show cased on Tuesday, but i got enough synths with similar sounds. Korg promised the Future this week, not sure if Grandstage piano is what they were talking about. Roland as well, but GS's are not for me.

Still have a couple more days, will see, cause my wallet is screaming to be opened ... :-)

Could indeed be. Although the Mother 32 sounds great and is also quite small (and can be used as Eurorack module).

Here is music i am in to.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... 91BsW4eMrQ

Who make this music are not glued to any music style. It is just wanted to spread the word of my Master as best as possible.
So speaking from technical point of view analog is superior to sound. And it does not matter even if mabe many people cannot pick up the different between analog and digital because my Master can pick up the difference and my Master gives favor to 100% analog sound path.

All in all a very lackluster Namm. The last really exciting one was back in 2011...

I was thinking maybe Korg will bring some good analog synth but they are quite.

But what i do not want is another toy synth. Just want full featured 100% sound path analog synth.

As a keyboard hobbyist, we listened to the Sonicstate "LIVE STREAMING" of Nick Batts talking to Mark Doty today and Mark said, making the ARP FS made a real difference, Nick said the same thing, IMO it sounds like NOW, its the REAL DEAL, edgy and aggressive of old.

We felt disconnected from NAMM this year. IMO live streaming by the NAMM folks was not anywhere close to the way they ran it last year. Last year you felt like you were there and part of it. Only cool moment for us this week was on Tuesday when Behringer hosted a Facebook live streaming session. Found it fun listing to the bands, then the DM12 demo, and finally watching rookies try to landscape through the VR ... that was hilarious.

The other disconnect for us this year was that we hoped the "FUTURE" of music was not going to be chasing voices. VR, now that's a game changer. Adding 8 more voice to an older synth ... really?. OB6, last year was a game changer. Why, cause manufactures found away to combine their technology's to make one heck of a cool SOUNDING synth. Maybe Behringer took a page out of the OB6 when they teamed up with TC and KLARK to produce DM12

Finally, did i miss the KORG Grandstage's live streaming DEMO? We did see a couple of pictures. Someone please tell us that the top screen was just a indicator for displaying whether the GS is turn on or off.
