Problem with Windows 7 driver installation

I am sorry to talk about a problem that has been previously discussed, but even following the (few) advices that were given at the moment I am NOT able to install the driver properly on my Win7 PC. In few of the very many attempts the job seemed to be done, but it was posible to send just some notes to the keyboard before freeezing. Anyway, upon connection the PC tells that an unknown USB device was detected. With my previous PA800 everything run quite smootly for so many years.
Has anybody some clever words for me? Thank you!

Hi,

if it works "sometime" I´m pretty sure that your USB-cable is the problem.
The maximim length should not be more than 3 meters, the shorter the better.

It should be a quality-cable, not one for 1,50 €

P.S.: You MUST start the driver-installation program as administrator and of course use the correct version ( 32 or 64-bit ).

Thank you.
Anyway the connection has never worked for mor than a few notes.
I shall change the cable, but what surprizes me is that it has been working properly for many years wit my PA800.

Well, after further attempts it seems that the driver is installed on the Win7 PC, and it works properly with my "old" PA800 (the driver is the same), but it does NOT recognize the "new" PA 4X ...
So sorry ...

As yet I have also not been able to get the Korg USB driver to work, it shows the driver is installed but tge Pa4x is not detected. I think this is a bug with the driver and Windows 7

It is someway "reassuring" that this is not only my personal problem. If somebody else has not found the right trick yet, we should wait for something better. Or upgrade to Windows 10 maybe.

Hi,

with Windows 10 ( 64-bit ) it works without any problems...

Just to confirm, you use the latest driver for Win7 / 8.1 ? Version 1.15r18 from 2016/12/22.

And NOT the one for Win10 ( Version 1.15r20e, 2017/02/02 )

Yes, the driver version is correct.
