C-350 Amp Oddity

First, thanks for looking into my problem.

I have a spunky C-350 concert piano. I really want it to be my primary gigging piano. Every key is functional with no sticks or other irregularities. The internal guts are great and each console speaker is fantastic. I've plugged in Midi and it is 100% effective.

Yet, when I plug in audio jacks to my PA or even a keyboard speaker, the console speakers continue producing sound. Being a novice musician, I haven't heard of digital pianos continuing to produce sound after the jacks are amplified.

Is this regular?

Seems like normal behaviour. Most keyboards allow monitoring using the headphone output whilst using the line-outs to an amplifier, mixer, recording device, or whatever. The sound output from the speakers can be cut by plugging in headphones, or just an unconnected headphone jack plug, or headphone jack adapter.

.

Thanks!

I didn't even realize there was a headphone jack hiding beneath the keys. Thank you so much for the response.
